Hola(w) bienvenida, bienvenido…
I think I hadn't introduced myself, I'm Susy, a simple human who lives with my heart in the sky and my feet on the ground. Sometimes I imagine that I have a switch that turns on, off, delays, and advances my thoughts. What I haven't figured out is how to use the switch 🤷🏻♀️- it seems to have a mind of its own to go from "on" to "off", from "off" to "next", and from "next" to "back". I feel crazy but that's how it feels sometimes.
Every time I drive, the switch does its thing. My contribution is to play music. I wish I could say I sing or dance like cool people — window down, with the wind brushing my hair and a commercial smile, but the reality is I look more like a zombie. For me, the lyrics of the songs are "prompts" or ideas for reflection, and that's what I dedicate my trips to - thinking.

Sometimes I don't even make it to the second song, and I hear a phrase that I like, and that's all I need for the switch to flip. And here's the thing... I've been thinking for years about sharing it. It's an experiment, and this is the pilot, so if I end up writing for myself, I'll accept that too.

Today the topic is Financial freedom in light of one of my favorite songs "you and I" by Ingrid Michaelson.

This song is about what you would be doing if you were a millionaire. The song says she would be buying sweaters for everyone and teaching them to dance - and you?
This week I had to facilitate a workshop for a group of consultants and looking to create relevant space for them, I asked, is there something that's taking up headspace for you today that you want to resolve? - the first to answer me was a young man, I estimate he is about 30 years old and he says to me: financial freedom. I could only think to respond: when you know, please let me know!
At the end of the workshop, I approached him to ask if he already knew what to do, and he replied: I don't know the whole way but I know the next step, I am going to decide on an amount that I want to save and I will divide it by week to see how much I need to save from today while I think about a bigger project. For me, this is what a mission accomplished looks like. Providing a space where you can think about your next step. Financial freedom may sound like a dream, but if you land on a fact, an amount, a number, and start measuring it, that's all you need to navigate the path to your goal.
Ingrid (the singer of the song) would be buying sweaters for everyone and teaching them to dance. I think I would be doing what I am doing today, accompanying other humans on the journey to make life feel lighter.
